Madeline and Ishmael

These characters have an awkward friendship, at least at first, since Ishmael is somewhat intimidated by Madeline, and she has a tendency to be overly friendly. I wanted to draw a pic that reflected that awkwardness.

Madeline is much larger than Ishmael, what with her being a wolf and him being a squirrel.

Haven't written anything with Madeline yet, but I've been working out her personality in my mind. She's a bit canine in her mannerisms: overly affectionate, excitable, over-eager etc. but also very loyal; she has a special attachment to Ishmael and is rather protective of him.
