Okay. Finally done. Learned that watercolor paper doesn't handle my usual heavily reworked, textured style so well, and begins to degenerate after too much water. Oh well, came out pretty good I'd say.
Anyway, young girl left to watch a half-unpacked market stall while the owner is away. Watercolor and marker pens on watercolor paper. Enjoy! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. The paper would've been fine if I used watercolors the way most people do, but since I tend to work and rework and blend, and lighten and such, the paper just couldn't handle it.
But I did use it in an attempt to keep a little simpler this time, so I'm not sure if I'm going to go back to board or stick with paper for my next one.
