Was scrapped because they didn't think it was scary enough, having always intended him as a dramatic shift in the show's usual tone.
Never wasting a word or action and wishing for nothing less than the extinction of all life. The Lich is certainly the most dire threat in the land and someone whose graybles will always have you glued to your visualizer screen.
